Thalassotherapy is a particular form of therapy based on the healing properties of the sea and all its products (sand, algae and mud). The term ”thalassotherapy” derives from the Greek ”thalassa” (sea) and ”th\u00e9rapeia” (treatment) and was first used in the 19th century in Brittany. However, it is believed that the potential healing properties attributed to the sea and its marine climate have been known since ancient times, even by the Romans, Greeks and Egyptians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
