The Budello: shopping, “kisses” and the scent of the sea

There are not many places in the world where you can go shopping while breathing pure sea air. The blue sea of Alassio that peeps between the buildings. One of these places is the Budello, a picturesque alleyway that runs through the town, parallel to the sea, and offers exquisitely picturesque moments, together with the possibility of shopping in the most exclusive boutiques in the area.

The best shops on the Riviera di Ponente are all here, tempting the passer-by with the latest designer fashions, antiques, jewellery, handicrafts and pastry shops selling sweet delicacies such as Baci (Kisses). Baci are typical hazelnut and cocoa-based sweets encased in a delicate chocolate ganache. Enjoying them while walking through the Budello is a metaphysical experience!
